
The Police Special Fraud Unit, Milverton road, Ikoyi Lagos, don catch one fake doctor wey him name be Ibukun Ojo...On March 6, 2013, complain from the Canadian High Commission wey dey against Mount Zion Clinic/Hospital, Oshodi, Lagos....The petitioner, according to the image maker of the Anti-Fraud Unit, Ngozi Isintume-Agu, talk say the first suspect, one Steve Olusoji Fakolujo, a Nigerian resident in Canada come Nigeria sometime for May 2012 and go meet the suspect, one Ibukun Ojo who tell the man say him be qualified doctor say make him get fake medical bills wey go enable am collect health insurance from the Canadian government.....The suspect no gree but forged the following documents: Medical Professional and Consultation Charge, Drugs and Medications, Ambulance Fees, Accommodation and Feeding as well as other miscellaneous expenses.
The release further talk say the total money wey him give am na N89, 989, 742.46, after wey him use travel back to Canada and present am to the canadian government...make una read him confession:It added that the suspect, Ojo Ibukun, was arrested and had made useful confession to the Police, adding that in his confessional statement, he was quoted as saying that he is a 50-year-old man, from Arigidi Akoko in Ondo State.
Additionally, the suspect was said to have told Police investigators that he was a medical student drop-out who practices medicine and runs a one-man clinic with the name Mount Zion Clinic, located at 2, Mukandasi Street, Oja-Oke, Mafoluku, Oshodi, Lagos and has been in practice for the past five years.
Ojo was also said to have confessed to the alleged crime and admitted forging all the medical documents including the medical summary report on Steve Olusoji Fakolujo with Claim No. 216316 for a paltry sum of N1,500 with the aid of his unregistered hospital letter head paper and payment receipt.
